John S. Conway

John S. Conway was an American sculptor born in Dayton, Ohio in 1852. He trained at the Art Institute of Chicago and the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, subsequently working across the United States and Europe. Conway maintained studios in Milwaukee, Italy, and New Jersey throughout his career, engaging with both academic sculptural traditions and the artistic networks of the late nineteenth century.
