John Maeda works across digital media, interactive installation, and graphic design, bridging computer science and visual culture through algorithmic form-making. Since the 1990s, he has developed a practice centered on how code generates both structure and meaning in visual work. His installations treat computation as a generative material rather than a tool, interrogating the relationship between human intention and algorithmic process.
