Fritz Bultman was an American abstract expressionist painter, sculptor, and collagist whose practice spanned multiple media within the gestural and color-driven vocabulary of mid-century abstraction. A member of the New York School, he worked across canvas, three-dimensional form, and assembled materials to explore the expressive potential of non-representational composition. His work engaged with the formal investigations central to abstract expressionism during its formative decades.
