Émile Berchmans was a Belgian lithographer and poster designer active in Liège during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, working within the Art Nouveau idiom. His decorative illustrations and lithographic posters exemplify the movement's synthesis of commercial design and fine art, employing flowing organic forms and flattened compositional structures characteristic of the period.
