Bertha Evelyn Jaques was an American printmaker and painter active in the early twentieth century. Working primarily in etching and lithography, she developed a distinctive approach to landscape and architectural subjects rendered with precise linear technique. Based in Chicago, Jaques was a founding member of the Chicago Society of Etchers and contributed significantly to the revival of printmaking as a fine art medium in the American Midwest during the Arts and Crafts era.
