Andrea Bowers makes video, drawing, and installation work that engages political activism and social movements, often sourcing material from archival photography, protest imagery, and historical documents. Her practice operates at the intersection of personal narrative and collective history, treating the artwork as an instrument for documenting and amplifying marginalized voices.
