Samuel Masury was a 19th-century printmaker whose work captured the visual culture of mid-19th-century America. Working primarily in lithography and engraving, he produced portraits, landscapes, and commercial prints that circulated widely through print shops and publications of his era. His technical command of stone and copper plate made him a prolific documenter of his time.
