Pierre-Nolasque Bergeret was a French painter and pioneering lithographer whose practice extended to medal design and theatrical costume. A student of Jacques-Louis David, he worked in Paris during the early nineteenth century, a period when lithography was emerging as a medium for fine art reproduction and dissemination. His output spanned history painting, portraiture, and graphic arts, positioning him at the intersection of academic tradition and new print technologies.
