Peter Buggenhout constructs densely layered sculptures and installations from organic materials, found objects, and industrial debris, transforming waste and decay into tactile, monumental forms. His work investigates contamination and the sculptural potential of discarded matter through accumulated surfaces and archaeological accumulation. Based in Belgium, Buggenhout treats degradation and material entropy as generative forces rather than endpoints, building compositions that confront viewers with the physical residue of industrial culture and biological breakdown.
