International Silver Company was a Connecticut-based silver manufacturing firm founded in Meriden in 1808, specializing in flatware, hollowware, and decorative metalwork. Operating across the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, the company became one of America's largest producers of sterling and plated silver goods, employing both industrial manufacturing and craft techniques. Its output ranged from utilitarian domestic tableware to ornamental serving pieces and presentation objects.
