Tadeusz Trepkowski was a Polish graphic designer and poster artist whose bold, economical visual language defined postwar Eastern European design. Working in lithography and letterpress, he reduced complex social and political messages to stark typography and simplified figural forms. His posters addressed reconstruction and public welfare in the years following 1945, establishing an influential approach to graphic communication across the region. Trepkowski's economy of means and directness of message became foundational to postwar Polish design practice.
