Franciszek Starowieyski was a Polish painter and graphic designer working primarily in figuration and printmaking from the postwar period onward. His approach to the human figure combined painterly intensity with graphic design sensibility, establishing a distinctive visual language across both disciplines. Based in Warsaw, he developed a practice that engaged with the formal and conceptual possibilities of color, line, and the representation of the body.
