Henry Heerup was a Danish painter, graphic artist, and sculptor whose practice embraced radical material and formal variety. Working across painting, lithography, stone carving, linoleum cuts, and assemblage from scrap materials, he resisted stylistic consolidation throughout his career. His willingness to shift between high craft and found-object construction positioned him as a distinctly unorthodox figure in twentieth-century Danish modernism.
