Ann Hamilton creates large-scale multimedia installations that engage viewers in immersive sensory environments. Working across photography, textiles, video, and found materials, her practice investigates how bodies and spaces communicate meaning through gesture, labor, and material accumulation. Since 2001, she has been faculty at Ohio State University's Department of Art, where she was appointed Distinguished University Professor in 2011.
