Jackie Ferrara is an American sculptor whose signature pyramidal stacked structures in wood and stone explore principles of mathematical progression and spatial accumulation. Working from the 1970s onward, her geometric compositions move between monumental public installations and intimate tabletop pieces, each built through careful layering and repetition. Her work is held by the Museum of Modern Art, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, and The Phillips Collection, among major institutions. The deceptive simplicity of her stacked forms conceals rigorous conceptual frameworks rooted in systems, seriality, and the phenomenology of viewing from multiple vantage points.
