A fierce advocate for the preservation of 16mm and 35mm film at a moment of rapid industrial obsolescence, her practice is inseparable from her commitment to a technology under threat. She was nominated for the Turner Prize in 1998, received the Hugo Boss Prize in 2006, and is a Royal Academician.
