Daisy Igel was a Brazilian architect whose practice bridged design education and institutional cultural life in Rio de Janeiro. Trained in architecture at the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, she brought a rigorous modernist formation to her teaching at the State University of Rio de Janeiro and the Museum of Modern Art in Rio de Janeiro. Her work sat at the intersection of architectural thinking and industrial design pedagogy.
