Daniel Boyd is an Australian painter, sculptor, and installation artist whose practice interrogates colonial visual culture and Aboriginal representation through layered abstraction and archival intervention. His work frequently incorporates found photographic materials and modernist formal strategies to expose the constructed nature of historical narratives. Boyd was awarded the Bulgari Art Award by the Art Gallery of New South Wales in 2014 and was a finalist for the 2022 Archibald Prize.
