Tomma Abts creates small-scale abstract oil paintings in which gestural marks, geometric forms, and luminous color fields emerge through deliberate layering and erasure. Her work refuses legibility or narrative closure, instead constructing visual experiences of spatial and chromatic complexity within intimate dimensions. Based in London, Abts develops each painting through accumulated decisions rather than predetermined composition, allowing form and color to negotiate their own relationships across the canvas surface.
