Paloma and Her Doll on a Black Background
WW-1952-016251

Picasso was inspired by his children and frequently represented them in his art. This portrait depicts Picasso’s daughter Paloma when she was three years old (she later became a fashion designer and is currently the administrator of her father’s estate). The lithograph itself attests to the technical expertise of Fernand Mourlot, who printed the lithograph with rich and subtle gradations of tone.
